There are two possible solutions in order to migrate from the past Appliance box to the new version.
Box version requirements
Make sure that the version of the box is updated up to version 1.1.027. Otherwise please contact email@example.com to resolve this issue.
Step 1. Make a Backup copy of the current version of your box.
Step 2. When your box versioning issue is resolved, navigate to Backup settings within the Admin panel to adjust further configurations:
- Select Remote File Server Type via SSH/SCP, FTP or SAMBA
- Specify Remote File Server Hostname / IP Address
- Add Remote File Server Port
- Write Remote File Server Username
- Create Remote File Server Password (used to access your Backup)
- Select a folder where your Back up will be stored

You can also specify the number of Backups stored on the Server. When finished, click Save Backup settings.
Step 3. Install the new version of box received via email using the standard installation flow.
Step 4. Navigate to the Admin panel and Restore Backup tab.
Note that Restoring data in Box will permanently delete any current data (!)
Select the Backup version you want to Restore within the new Appliance box (Step 3) and click Restore. While operation is in progress, do not close or refresh the page. Otherwise the process must be restarted from the beginning.
When finished, go to Step 5.
Step 5. Check that the data from the Restored box is fully available in the new box. If not please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 6. The current and Old box (Step 1) can be paused or stopped. Note that all further work will be run in the new Appliance box.
Step 1. Make a Backup copy (follow Step 1 in Paragraph I).
Step 2. Send a Backup copy to the Appliance team beginning from the instructions from your Account manager.
